In 1884, Ernesto Larco came to America and started a tradition. Using old-world family recipes, he opened popular restaurants along the East Coast, raised a family, and passed on his recipes to his sons Pete, Mike and Nick. After the Great Depression and serving in the armed forces in World War II, his sons carried on the tradition started by their father and opened Larco’s Inn in Detroit.
Today, the kind of fine cuisine that Ernesto Larco first served back in the “Roaring Twenties” lives on in a relaxed, inviting setting that has long been the hallmark of the restaurants that bear his name. With the help of Chef Peter Larco and Chef Zog Vulaj, Larco’s features a tempting menu of both traditional and contemporary Italian food as well as prime steaks, chops, fresh fish, seafood and an excellent selection of vintage wines.
Ernesto Larco welcomed everyone into his restaurants as if they were family and we are very proud to carry on his legacy.
